The Annual fund is a yearly appeal to families and friends of Aquinas Academy to support the school's annual operating needs. These gifts help us recruit, and train and retain talented faculty, control tuition increases, and provide tuition assistance and scholarships.
In addition, Annual Fund contributions:
* Provide valuable resources to enrich student learning
* Maintain a vital campus ministry
* Augment faculty salaries
* Improve and beautify the campus
Aquinas' financial model is similar to other private schools in the United States. In this model, only a portion of the operating expenses are covered by tuition and fees. The remainder of "the gap" is covered by tax-deductible gifts. The gap for Aquinas this year is approximately $1,600 per student.
Financial support from foundations, corporations, and major donors is dependent on the level of Annual Fund participation by Aquinas families, faculty and staff. Our goal for the 2012-13 school year is $175,000 and 100% participation.
